Hey All -- A little promotional posting about this great new movie that just came out on DVD from Wolfe (where I work as director of consumer marketing so I am a bit biased).
I'm curious who has gotten a chance to see it. There are so few butch portrayals in cinema, it's always exciting when there is a new one!
So, please chime in and discuss (you can rent it from your local video store or Netflix; or buy it from fine retailers everywhere including the fabulous lesbian-owned LGBT DVD source, WolfeVideo.com).
Here is the description from the Wolfe site:
Butch Jamie is a quirky, gender-bending comedy about an out-of-work butch lesbian actress willing to try almost anything for a role. Dressing up femme for auditions, struggling actress Jamie Klein (talented writer-director Michelle Ehlen) continually faces rejection as she fails to be a typical leading lady. Spurred on by her roommate Lola's successful cat actor, Jamie decides to take a different approach and audition as herself — aka "Butch Jamie." She immediately lands a role—as a man! Her misadventures on the set include unintentionally attracting the attentions of her sexy female co-star.
Oh yeah, you can go watch the trailer on the Wolfe site as well. Right here:
