I read some great coming out stories on Live Journal today. I've been out to my family for over ten years; some of them are still reeling. ha ha. 'course its not that funny.
I'm sick with the flu today and didn't go "Out" anywhere. I've been out to whomever for about 5 years and it feels good. I live in an ass-backwards western state but for the most part have had wonderful acceptance from most the people I know. the largest chunk of prejudice I have encountered have been my own peeps, or as I like to call them "shitheads". There is a subculture here within my own subculture. You know those elitist lesbians who believe they are not only better than all the straight people but all the lesbians who don't fit into their perfect society of gayness. Idiots. Needless to say, I do not spend time with these women.
Anyway, for all you chicks who came out today-congratulations! And all you who didn't, its cool we are who we are. Love to all
