or the wiesen, which ever you prefer. If you haven't been to Bavaria to enjoy an Augustiner mass(litre), don't be caught up in the hofbrauhaus fad the german's prefer Augustiner, you definitely need to put this on your to-do-before-i-die list. I honestly love the oktoberfest, the experience within itself is priceless, but do bear in mind it is probably one of the most chaotic festivals ever so be weary. it is relatively expensive to travel to munich during the wiesen, but you can pop into one of munich's many beerhalls at any time of year for the exact same thing. although i do think the oktoberfest beer has a higher pecentage of alchohol. So to all you beer lovers this is a must
I find that many people drink beer based on the advertised "lifestyle" that is associated with it and are pretty reluctant to try new beers. Why? WHy not have a good yummy strong beer instead of wasting your money on downing massive amounts of weak beer that tastes like..wheat water..to get a buzz?
I LOVE trying new beers! However, I find that I just don't have the taste buds for lagers..I love my stouts and porters. I prefer my beer like a dessert: dark, thick, low carbonation with hints of nuts and caramel and espresso. The nose is particularly important to me. I don't like them ice cold..I actually like them to warm up a teeny bit, it allows me to taste the flavor better. Oh, and I like to sip them instead of guzzle them down lol. I'm a sip and nibble kinda person.
I love german & Belgian beers! But I usually I stay clear of American and British beers..unless they're microbrews. Theres a lot of really good microbrews.
Here are a few I've been lovin recently: Belhaven Wee Heavy, Moylan's Irish Style Red Ale + Imperial Stout, Spaten Optimator Dark
Bass, Newcastle, Red Stripe are probably my favorites. I also really like some of the regional beers, like Shiner Bock or Abita Turbodog. Dang, now I want some beer. Too bad it's 10:30 am and I'm at the office! ;-)
Like would be an understatment for me. I LOVE my beer. I enjoy Amstel and almost any German beer. Get me to a brewery and we might be friends for life!
michelada! or if it has to be "real" beer, pacifico. unfortunatly there's no way to get my hands on it :/
on rare occasions i go with dos equis, but its's so damn expensive around here.
I love beer!!!!
my favourites are Corona, Rothaus pills and Menabrea(an italian beer).
Few months ago I've been to the beer festival here in Milan....omg I've never drunk so much beer before xD
How did I miss this forum? I love beer. I make my own and this Saturday is the big brew so we're brewing 10 gallons of watermelon wheat for the summer.
The only bad beer is an empty beer. Hoever, I'm partial to Belgians but give me a cold Highlife or Tecate on the river any day.

I do not like beer.
I like Jacks straight.Like just give me the bottle, and don't try putting anything else in there.
I also like vodka straight.
Just give me a bottle of Jacks or a bottle of some good vodka and I am good.
i like dos equis very much, sagres-its portugese, some german beers like lübzer, köstritzer, desperados with tequila flavor..verrry nice, miller, spanish beers are good too like san miguel, fosters, and ot course czech beer is soooo darn good.
ok, u made me very thirsty now, tgi friday!!!!!
I'm not a passionate beer lover, actually sometimes I extremely dislike its taste, but other times I can enjoy a single cold cold beer. Almost don't like national ones, only Club Colombia, and from other places, I like the italian Peroni... An, and I would love to try black ale, just for curiosity :.P
I love St-Ambroise apricot wheat & Griffon Rousse.
I am always trying new beers though. I still have to get around to all the Vancouver microbrews. So far I've only had a lot of Granville Island Brewing, and they're not that great...
I also like Red Stripe... but mostly just for the stubby bottle. :)
I always enjoy Shinerbock on tap and a nice heiny. I mean Heineken of course.
There is one place near me that makes the best micheladas, only they call 'em Spicy beer. I guess easier for all the non-spanish speakers in the place. Sooo good.
i dont really have a favorite beer, but i am startig to get to know more beers around the world. ive recently tried Nostradamus and Guldenberg and Delerium, they were all really very interesting (and really expernsive). I've also tried this oyster ale and wheat beer and rasberry beer....there are just soooo many different kinds of beers out there, how can you choose?
I love beer also but I had to slow down because I was gaining weight. Now I drink 1 or 2 out of each month or if I'm out at a club, party or special occasions. I like all kinds, but my faovites are Michelob and Tecate. I especially like to have a beer when I'm eating seafood.
I use to hate the taste of beer. I recently started drinking Bud Light and I have to say, it's not bad! Beer is so much cheaper to drink too than those mixed drinks I'm used to.
My favourites are Danish (Tuborg) and Polish beers (Leżajsk, Żywiec). Much love also for Rickards (red, honey brown, pale, white...I don't care) and St-Ambroise apricot ale.
I can never resist a Corona or Brahma...with those sleek sexy bottles.
Oh! And Fruli....overpriced tiny bottles of Belgian strawberry beer. Worth every penny.
Tabasco on the lip of an icy corona dude, that is very VERY awesome.
Gives you that tingling feeling that stays lingering on your lips..aaa~ so good. Then pass your lips onto someone else ;)
I can't take too much of that stuff though.
I like... sierra nevada and becks those are pretty good. I'm not so much a fan for domestic beers. ALTHOUGH, i have to say bud light tastes pretty good with pizza.
I prefer hard liquor, with the exception of tequila, over beer any day.
We have this stuff called Leffe which is blonde beer and is strong but pretty damn delicious, otherwise I'll enjoy a Corona with lime or 2, or 3, or 4, or 5...
Leffe is my favorite. I love to just sit around talking shite and sipping on a Leffe Blonde, though they also have Triple and Brown which are richer and good as well, but harder to find (for me anyway, in 'Merica).
I also recently had Snow Cap, the winter ale by the Pyramid microbrewery. Fantastic!
where's the love for microbrews??
i am shocked that the majority here are corona fans...
okay, here's some recommendations from a girl that loves beer up and down.
koenig haven (belgian beer)
saison (belgian style)
salvator (paulaner)
terrible (unibroue brewery)
anchor brewing co. (out of ca.)
sierra nevada does a nice job
hen's tooth (an english ale)

An episode of each season is downloadable from itunes, free.

Its a fun show, educational, in regards to beer, and social interaction.
