At first, please excuse my poor english, not a native here...

I haven't seen seasons 2 and 3, but recently i saw season 4 and 5 --- and i found it interesting, that in most relationship-issues Bette still seems to be the self-centered person she was in season 1 ... for me, Jodi did Bette a great favor in confronting her with the controlfreak-issues over and over again... and i do see a Bette, who is still not ready to love herself.

She does (surprisingly to me) love Angie though --- i m looking forward to learning that in loving her daughter, she will begin to love and respect herself, in all her givin, passionate, griefin, week and strong qualities...

To me it is obvious that Jodi sensed so well, that Bette is NOT lovin her lover Jodi ;-) as she'd deserve it... to me the plot is, that Bette isn t ready to love Jodi... either because she really wants to get back together with Tina (don't know) or because she s not ready to take any responsibility for her actions yet, what really suits her character, don't you think?

I would not love Bette so much, if it wasn't for her sparkling eyes, her smiling, her laughter, which i'd say, belongs more to the actress than to the character....

JoBette really revealed all the qualities Bette tried to hide so well 4 the time of her life... but i do understand, that Bette isn't in love with Jodi, for what reason so ever...

I think that if it had been left up to IC Bette may not be with Jodi but she wouldn't be with Tina. Bette and Jenny are the two loves of IC's life and I think fundamentally she wants each to grow towards wholeness and away from dependence and fear. More than embracing being loved by someone else, they need to embrace loving themselves and they continue to confuse that need with seeking validation from the outside. I love Bette and Tina in bed but I don't like Tina as Bette's life partner. I like Tina and Bette as friends but I don't like them as "wifey" and "wife". I love Tina and Bette as co-parents but I don't like them as an example of mature lesbian love.

Bette did the most growth spiritually, psychologically, and emotionally when she was not with Tina and in spite of Tina. Tina also grew up quite a bit when she was not with Bette and because she was not with Bette. In nearly 35 years as a lesbian, I have never seen the kind of "miracle reunion" in real life but ah there's the rub. This is TV land. Yet, somehow this reunion as a fantasy was disturbing.

Why? I think that the movie within the movie states it when Tina convinces Jenny that her movie will "Touch the life of some young girl living in the Midwest and let her know it's possible for women to make a life together."

Being in love is just the first stage for discovering some powerfully unknown part of ourselves with another person reflecting what we want to see. It is smoke and mirrors and a time to explore the what we do not want to control. It is a time we sculpt our environment, our thoughts, our passions, our partner into our own form of Michealangelo's 'David'. It is truly beautiful but is not meant to be the last stage of our relationship.

We are meant to play hard, love fiercely, support unconditionally but with conditions, and challenge wisely our loves. As Joni Mitchel says, "All I really want our love to do is to bring out the best in me and you." That is the standard I embrace to acknowledge a healthy, loving, mature relationship. It isn't like hands folded together, it's more like a pray pose where hands touch.

I see passion in Bette and Tina's eyes. I see history and the comfort of convenience. I see intertwining (even more now that Bette is pregnant) but I don't think they bring out the best in each other.

I'm a Bette lover from Day 1 and I've always wanted more for her. I 've always wanted her to know that essentially she is a person worthy of love.

First let me begin by saying I do like Jodi. She's a great character but not with Bette. When I've watched them together I did not see "in love" but an intense adoration. They both respected each other's work and shared a commnon love for art. But that's pretty much the only connection they had. It was more like a business partnership with benefits.
But when I see Bette with Tina I see "in love" on a pedestal. And at the foot of that pedestal is their union. They have a connection that's as encoded as their DNA. They are so in tuned to one another it really is like watching the same person. Examples: ordering the same cobb salad, both putting their hands on their stomachs in season 1 during the LET'S DO IT episode, the same expression they gave each other in season 5 after having that run in with the gay male couple competing to get their son in the same preschool, etc. Look at how intense their eyes are when they are doing something as simple as smiling at one another. Witness the urgency they've always had to savor one another bodies when they are making love. Bette and Jodi have always had sex not made love. Jodi would rather party than drink in the essnece that is Bette. Everytime Bette and Tina orgasm, they are looking at each other, getting enjoyment at watching the other reach that brink of orgasmic exhilaration.
Some people always want to focus on the negative that TiBette has done. But let us not forget that Bette and Jodi were not the epitomy of greatness either. In the beginning Jodi was the one out breaking a few hearts. Remember monogamy at that time was not her thing. I could go on and on. It's just like Bette said that thing she was looking for she was never going to find it because she has it with someone else and that's Tina. (They've belong together. They've always have!) TiBette: First, Last, and FOREVER!!!!!!!

I'm currently up to S4. And I have to say that Season 4 is my favourite season yet because of Jodi x Bette couple! One of the cutest couple I've seen and the reason I rewatched Season 4 several times in a row (which I don't usually do).
I'm really pleased to see them together at the end of S4.
Bette lost an 8-years relationship mostly because of her bossy personality and was in a recovering stage, she needs to be loved and wanted, and someone to be completely honest with her which she found in Jodi.
I like Tina too, but I prefer Jodi because she's really honest, sweet and cute.

Jodi has cured Bette from her pain, has fixed her broken heart, has gave her another chance for happiness. Ok, it's all true.

BTW, after everything, Bette realize that even she wants to gave her heart for Jodi, and she really tried, she can't do it, because she already had gave it for Tina. Bette belongs to Tina, that's the way the things are.

And Tina belongs for bette. I think that Tina is just bissexual because of Bette ; Bette is the one she loves, and it doesn't matter for her if she's a girl or a man. She loves her... She tried, twice, to be happy farway from Bette and she didn't get it!

Bette and Tina are wonderful together. I buy the story that they love one another. Bette and Jodi was not convincing to me. Bette couldn't even do anything nice like buying her a table cloth without Jodi accusing Bette of being a control freak. Tina would have loved that simple gesture and Bette is a romantic so she gets pleasure of doing those small cute things for her lover.

yes, i love Bette and Tina, but lets get serious here, when u LOVE someone u wouldn't cheat on them, or play mind games with them. When u love someone, u want them and only them!
Thats why i think Bette and Tina should just move on already! When u love someone, hurting them is the last thing u want to do! They've played the same old record forever!!! Thats not love!

I really didn't know that some people didn't want Bette and Tina back together! I though that everyone was like "Bette and Tina are SO ment to be" But I was wrong. Sure, Jodi is really great and I really don't want Bette to hurt her, but it's like. Bette and Tina were so great in the beginning. Then Bette hurt her, but she's learned from her mistakes. She said she didn't want to be that kind of mother, so she and Tina should stop the thing they were doing. You know? I think she loves Jodi, I do, but it still doesn't compare to the way she feels for Tina. Tina is THE one for her and she knows it. Except she doesn't want to hurt Jodi, and i comlpetely understand that. But as I've said before; Bette and Tina are Ross and Rachel in Friends. They are the one that's ment to be. They are the one that makes their lives complete. They fit together like hand in a glove. Everytime I watch Tibette now as far as they've comed, I get all these fellings inside. They are acting so extremely well and they really know how to get our atention.

BUT. I really hope that if it is Bette and Tina in the end, I hope that Jodi found out from Bette and not by her selves. If Bette got to explain how the situation worked, MAYBE Jodi would understand. (who knows?) But I hope that Bette finds out about her feelings and can tell it to her herselves and not that Jodi suddenly finds them or something. That would've been terrible.

Like someone mention before, I used to like T and B together i preious seasons, but ever since Jodi appear last season and fetr all Jodi and bette went through i thought Jodi and B should be together, OK I agree T and B look nice together but they r done, they hurted each other so much and now that they r gettig along they think they still love each other which is not true (hope so LOL) this thing is happening should be just another Bettes affairs. IM on Jodis side cause she is hot and change her mind about seeing more ppl cause she loves Bette.

From what I have read re: spoilers, there is nothing else to debate. Tibette is the triumphant love story, from start to finish. They may have stumbled into some potholes along the way and took some detours but their destination is each other. People come and go in their respective lives, some more helpful than others, some stayed longer than they should but there has never been any doubt that Bette loves Tina and Tina loves Bette.

There are nothing to discuss here. Jobette is nothing compared to Tibette. But of course, Bette is making Tina "The other woman" and that's wrong. I just wish that Bette would break up with Jodi soon. Because Bette and Tina knows that they are ment to be togther. Deep in their heart, they know. Of course, Bette does care alot about Jodi, no argument there. They have been partners for a while now. But I know that Bette knows deep in her heart, that she loves Tina. She said it herselves "But it doesn't really compare". That says it all.
And Jobette fights all the time. I read it somewhere, don't remember where, but someone said that with Jobette, it's always almost been just abut the sex. Tibette faught alot to, ut still :)

Tibette has their background. They have all those years of love and partnership. Dispite all the negativities they had, they still had many good moments. I just can't wait for them to get back together again.
