I have LOATHED "The L Word" up until season 3.5. This is where I feel there has been a REAL sense of being and humor with the characters thus far. I have always held contempt for the character Jenny and it has been reinforced in season 4...the character of Jenny is simply a fucked up bitch....as far as I am concerned Helena has redeemed herself far more than Jenny could ever possibly imagine...I believe Helena was the 'Ultimate Bitch from hell" to begin with. The character of Jenny is the "ultimate" fucked up, confused, bisexual that taints anything pure of lesbianism. I give kudos to the writer of the 4th season for the humor FINALLY portrayed from "reality" of lesbianism.

whare is carmen she should come back ı only watching the show because there is still hope that carmen back ı think in season two and three shane on top than she really f'c''d up they are just like willow and tara there is anyone don't know willow and tara (buffy the vampire slayer)carmen should back this shouldn't be over yet or never and ı hated paige person really she is not good for shane but carmen is the fit for shane season five really need carmen

Isn't it time we gave helena a girl? I mean a real girl, not miss faky obssessive compolsive gambler chick. What ever happened to that chick with the blue car that her boyfriend tried to blackmail her? I think they would be great together and maybe it would help helena find some sort of purpose other than glamour, fame and fortune, like the meaning of love and life and living life. She needs to stop being that chick's maid/footstool/whore and do something worthy with herself, poor people are happy too you know and we make good with what we have plus helena is a smart chick. There are lots of stuff she could do.

hello everyone i wish that in season 5 bette and tina will be together again because i love them and when talk and shared some moments in season 4 and bette asking for an advise about how bette can have back jodi and tina said that line i almost cried because it is so true and honest for what tina feels about bette hope they will be together in season 5 and for the rest of the season i love the l word show it is not just sex at all it's all about what's happening in our neighbor we can get some lessons how can we handle problems in life whether you are straight, gay or lesbian. Yea! They brung back my favorite Lesbian show back for a 5th season, Showtime was not about to let the best show for lesbians go. I can't wait until the first new episode.

First of all, congratulations to the show and its cast for making it into the fifth season!!!!!

I only recently watched the show and I've only watched the all the episodes from season 1 to 3 plus some clips of season 4...and I'm just sad, sad that I finally thought here's a show that could truly make a statement and maybe just make the world a perfect place, even for just a bit by making Shane and Carmen's relationship work. By proving that gays and lesbians are not all about fooling around but by really making a commitment to each other, especially with such an (my opinion only) ideal and very yin and yang (and did i mention, perfectly hot and intense) couple. It broke my heart to watch that last episode in season 3.

As to Shane and Paige, I guess I just never recovered from the Sharmen pairing that they didn't feel right to me. It felt as if they just looked for a good looking girl to pair with Kate and slap them two together...not working for me at all.

Closure please, closure...for what seemed to us simple people (Sharmen fans) THE couple of L WORD.

I don't want to piss anyone off but honestly season 4 was a disappointment to me. Yes I loved the addition of Tasha and Papi. I love what was unfolding with Alice and Tasha and even Papi and kit (funnyyyyyy). But the way the season ended, it left me saying WTF??? It wasn't that it left with a cliffhanger or a feeling of "Damn i can't wait till the next season" like season 3 did. It just felt incomplete. If felt like the season was rushed and you didn't have enough time or episodes so you just cut it in the middle. To me this was the worst of the seasons but I am sure that the next season will be much better.

As far as suggestions….. I agree with another person who felt like sometimes it doesn't seem very realistic. Honestly I am from the south and it’s hard to identify with any of the characters except for maybe Tasha. We all like that Shane is mature now but a piece of me would like the old hoe Shane back, or have Carmen come in and spice things up. I must admit Paige has NOTHING on Carmen. I don't even think Shane and Paige seem right at all after Shane and Carmen. Shane and Carmen were the couple you waited to see.

Jenny....Leave her crazy ass out to sea. I was over Jenny in season 1. now she is just getting ridiculous. I understand she went through a lot as a child, but come on…… and while I am talking about getting rid of people....

TINA. That bitch needs to get a life outside of Bette. I will stop watching L word if Tina gets back with Bette. Now the REALISTIC thing would be for Tina to try to get with Bette and bet refuse her... Hey maybe even make her attempt to sabotage Bette and Jodi. But they do not need to get back together.

Now that I finally found out that "the L word" is coming back in 2008 i really think that s*cks!! I mean, I watched the dvds just like that, in a week I was done with all the movie and now...loading...waiting...boring...someone should tell Ilene that waiting 4 the next scenes of The L word is worst than living without cigarettes, wich I'm addicted to, TOO! :)) LOVE THIS SHOW! Kate Moenning in the first place, I think her character Shane was written & directed the best, with Alice on the second place! I was really happy when I saw Erin Daniels back despite the fact that it was just a scene 'happened' in Alice's imagination!

COME ON!! tina wants bette back! ack!! i dont see that happening...even tho they make a good couple... and whats up with Shane?? can she COMMITT to this relationship??? :::sigh::::: and what will become of ALICE....

Ladies I have a question. Why do you think a lot of Women can't be honest with themselves, therefore, making them dishonest with their partners. I can't understand why it is so hard for Women (not me of course!) to embrace who they are. What's so wrong with being honest with self?

I would LOVE to see Shane with the SHORT hair she had in Season 2. With her hair like that, that was the HOTTEST she's ever looked. Don't get me wrong, she's ALWAYS lookin good...but the short hair does it for me :D
