It was moronic of me to drink last night. What I'm able to remember of it from last night was fun, but the way I felt this morning...not so much fun.
I only drink to get drunk.
I have no business drinking at all because both my parents were alcoholic. My father was an alcoholic for YEARS. He would drink all day long. There were times he would wake up every few hours at night to get a drink. He would black out...a lot.
I drank some in high school and when I first started college. I can't go back to drinking like that...I can't go back to drinking at all.

I can relate
Alcohol has caused many a rough morning for me . . . the worst involving a court room . . . I'm working on the moderation thing, but since I always drank to get drunk, I mostly just don't drink at all anymore . . . after all, whats the point? ~Jenny
My whole life, the only
My whole life, the only times that I've ever drank were to get drunk or deal with stress. I used to cut myself, and I can easily see alcohol becoming to me what self-injury was...and if I let that happen...my life would be a total and complete mess.
Substituting
I agree that it could easily take cuttings place. Addictions, Self Injury, Destructive Behavior, it's all just different ways to take out our pain on ourselves. If you ever want to talk about it or anything, I too am a kinda lost 25 year old~Jenny
sometimes the consequences
sometimes the consequences just aren't worth it. You can still go out and have fun without drinking and you'll feel great in the morning!
Good glad to hear you won't drink alcohol again.
Alcohol destroys many lives of good people.
