March 26, 2008 - 12:21am — CamifenzzI know that so many people are against it, but I can't think of a better ending to the show that Shane and Jenny finding happiness--finally--with each other. They are best friends, they really know each other and care so much for one another. Shane screwed up bad, but I believe in my heart that the "someone" Jenny realized she was in love with was Shane. Shane was the one who was there for Jenny the most when she came out as a cutter, Shane never gave up on Jenny when she was a primadona diva, Shane walked off the movie set with Jenny when Nikki wouldn't. Nikki doesn't love Jenny. Molly never thought about women UNTIL Shane. It's just not solid. Shane and Jenny are solid. If written well, it could be a really beautiful love story.

These two are destined for eachother.
They are eachothers better half. They are completly happy when they see eachother and infactuated when they are together. They make seem like they are the only ones in the room when they are together.
They catch your attention right away in a room and the chemistry they have is off the scale.

Ilene should think about Shenny in S6. If Shenny happens, she is a great writer because evidence in season 1-5 have cleared about their love. It takes her 5 seasons to build Shenny. Shenny is worth a wait. But we've been waiting for this long time. Now plz make it happen. I could open a ceremony for Shenny if it happens. ^^. Love Shenny much

I was just wondering, i LOVE Jenny and Shane together, but what kinda weirds me out, is whats gonna happen to Molly? Shane just told Phylis that she was crazy about Molly, would'nt that be going back on her word, Illen will have her work cut out for her in this situation. And if Shane and Jenny do finaly find their love, i meen, how can Shane do the spin-off? (and i so hope its her!) Unless, the only other way i see it, is if the whole spin-off is about Shane and Jenny helping her settele her life and vice-versa, Jenny and Shane could make a fantastic spin-off, id be watching without missing an episode!!! Well if enyone has an aswer for me, just let me know!

I agree. I was against it, but after reading what you said, I can't do anything else but agree. Shane was there for her no matter what. She was there when Nikki wasn't. Jenny deserves more than Nikki. And sometimes, a relationships are better if they start with friendship.

absolutely not, think about it people. Shenny should not happen, their friendship is something which both of them really ownn. Being able to let people know that with girls coming and go, just like a true classic, a strong friendship will always stand the test of time. and thats what completes The L Word.

Those two are meant ot be together just like TiBette. The chemistry is superb.They are both so compliment to each other.And it's high time something good happened to those two after so many crash and burns. And our dear Ilene surely leave us something to ponder for next season(January come soon!!!!!!).

As Kate said in an interview, "both Jenny and Shane are self-destructive, horribly misunderstood, terribly scared of themselves, and even more scared of what the world has to offer". Perfect match! ;)
I see the first 3-4 episodes with Shane trying to get Jenny's friendship back in every possible way and being totally depressed because she is not succeeding. When Jenny sees Shane is really falling apart because of that, she realizes Shane really loves her and Shane at this point is ready to do anything to win her back!
At that point I see the last 3-4 episodes with Shane and Jenny being totally raptured / captured with each other and spending 24 hours a day together. That's the first time Alice, Tibette, etc. are really convinced Shane is really settling down. Because she found another weirdo! Well, j/k, sort of.
So when Jenny tells Shane "But I thought that you and I..." at the end of E12 she doesn't mean "...were real friends" but "...could be together"!

The chemistry is there, naturally, but it’s never “quite right”. I’ll be completely honest… I’ve had great sex with friends, but there’s also an undertone of awkwardness & silliness. It would never make for a lasting relationship because of the roles they played in each others’ lives previously.

What works for you and what works for other people aren't mutually exclusive. What Shane and Jenny have goes beyond just sex. This isn't about some gross 'friends with benefits' sex shit - this is about TRUE LOVE. Shane and Jenny have basically always been in love with each other and were from the first time they saw each other. They've just pushed it to the backs of their minds because they were afraid to want more than just friendship and figured it would be safer.
I think they'll come to know soon enough in season six that safe and satisfied are two entirely different states of being and I think the s5 finale will be the catalyst that Shane needs to motivate her to put her fears aside and go after what she really wants. What she has always wanted. Jenny.

I get your point, but even the thought of the two hooking up seems so disgusting- sorry about that.
Also I think it would be such an unrealistic change in character for Shane if she'd suddenly declare her love for Jenny :S They are so great as best friends but certainly not as lovers.
