hey in singapore this kind of show couldnt when thro.. our goverment ban gay movement.. some of u are lucky to able to watch the show... the scripts is good enough to understand the whole story.. give Ilene a break .. she did her best to promote this.

this is not about fairness etc. but just about bad major prod. comp. management (above ilene). look what happened to the so called "music industry"!

Ilene & show time - you really don't understand this part of your business, or you guys wouldn't support the criminalization of your fans!

guess what, 2 min. after screening ep.5.1 it was freely available in the net and exchanged via dvd under your loyal oversee fans. that really sucks because i'm quite able and willing TO PAY for my share - but i couldn't.

and when the dvd finally will be available, it first is still a US/region 1 dvd, which still regards me/the EU as an illegal user!!! no matter how many bucks, shipping and customs i pay! double fuck.

what the heck is so complicated in creating a global online distribution?!!! especially for MTV!!! what is your managers problem? brain damage?

please little-tv-manager people. move on! move into this century with your rotten little distribution concepts. otherwise free economy properly will get rid of you, just the same as with your little out of work music fellows!

well, i use to wait every season,and now is not the exception, i' ve got a friend that lets me know when the series begins. so now i'm waiting...i really don't know if here in Chile, the series starts at the same time that in the us...anyway, i watch the warner channel every minute, trying to find out if l word has begun...

It seems weird that only people in the US can watch episodes online. You'd think that us here in Canada (which is the HOME of the L-word filming) would be able ot enjoy this privilage! We're hosting all you lovely people in the production of the show, shouldn't we get equal access!

Hi Five!

Thanks for reading my mind Laura...I signed on here to make exactly that point..it's not just weird, it's unfair that The L Word is filmed in Canada, and yet we don't get any of the goodies that the U.S. does regarding the show. I hope everyone in the U.S. cancels their subscribtion with Showtime and just watches the shows for free online. As for me I'll be buying my episodes on DVD.

Wauw....amazing how bad the

Wauw....amazing how bad the lines and the acting was in this season episode 1. Im shocked by the attempt to make a comedy, and the low quality. It was barely rescued after 40 min. when Jodi took control and put Bette in her place. Hopefully it was only a insecure kick-off, looking forward to a tighten up season.

you suck and you know what you can do with the script.
Looking forward to season 5 but, honestly, there could be a better lesbian sitcom. A little more realism, a little less hollywood & cheezyness... Worst of all - the title theme. Who the hell approves it? How can it still exist? It's bloody awful!! Somebody got their rug munched there. On a friendlier note, happy new year and long live lizzie the lezzie.

I agree with you .Of course Ilene is not responsable !It's the business of the different showtimes in the world , it's matter of money and contracts and law I suppose .I find it's kind of her to give us the script and ... there is a site( look well in the comments here !) where we can see the 501 .So it does'nt suck so much ! And ...Ilene is not God !

I get exited when i got the email saying that i can watch the 501 chapter....
But when i came in here i get some sad... but sometimes said that ist best read it than watch it but in this case ist not!!!!!!!!!!!!!
am from Mex i have to expect that all the 5th seasons over and then wait like and a half year for that it arrives here in some way...

what about us soldiers over in iraq? we have NO ACCESS at all to any of the seasons! i have to wait 2 years to see season 5!! and i havent even gotten to see all of the 4th season because whoever bootlegged it for me only got thru the 2nd episode. i'm extremely disappointed!!

Of course nothing can ever please everyone ! ;-) Well, I think that it was very nice to leave something for us who stay outside the states. I won't read the script as I prefer not to be spoiled and I prefer to wait and watch the episode (but I confess I might chose the quickest thus not legal way), but I'm happy I've been given the offer by the maker (Ilene cares about me, therefore I exist :-P). I've been given the choice and that's great. Cheers Ilene and happy new L Year 2008 :-) And I'll pray so that we get an international broadcast (I'd go for a 'pay to download the episode') for season 6 :-)

Well that's great! Except when we know that we'll have to wait to watch it, and of course without Showtime it will have to be through less legal stuff until it appears on DVD or/and in France... But, still. It is nice of you to have wanted to consolate us :)
I don't wanna read it though, too big spoiler (duh!).

I hope this season will work fine and that people will watch it a lot.
Showtime rocks on Sunday! First Dexter now The L Word.. Too bad I don't have it.

This is amazing! To be able to see the script as written is just so exciting. But i guess it's a bit more exciting to me because i'm a scriptwriter myself. This is just as good as the real thing. You can just imagine it in your head. I love it!

STOP COMPLAINING!

The reason why those of us living outside the US cannot have access to the first episode has to do with licensing deals and contractual obligations to other networks who pick up the show. Showtime makes a substantial part of it's earnings (and thus has the ability to make shows like the L Word) from selling the series to overseas networks.
As for questions asking whether Tijuana is in Mexico or California...sheesh ladies you have the internet research before asking such asinine questions.

Totally not fair! I'm in Tijuana 5 miles from Cali and I can't watch it 'cause the internet provider is in Mexico? We're close enough to the border to get Direct TV but not to watch this? totally not fair!! :(
