And I <3 the way each question is presented also!!!

Sara is phenomenal
Tegan and Sara's music has been brilliant from the start and I always thought they came across as bright when talking about music, but that interview was an eye opener. I'm part of the 1970s feminist and LGB activist generation, and Sara strikes me as the real deal. She is politically conscious and articulate to a degree that's uncommon amongst postgrads these days, let alone rock stars.
I love Tegan and Sara. They never cease to surprise me.
me
i wanna turn those knobs. hhah! im over here.
okay
This should be called interview wit Sara. It's okay though, I like hearing her talk, haha.
Thats Truth
Yeah they are right about the shortage of women in the music industry. I don’t mean on stage singing or playing an instrument I mean turning knobs, getting on ladders hooking up lights. That’s why I choose to make that apart of my career and to be in the studio and to work the board because I have been told way to many times that I cant do something because I am a girl. I proved them wrong in elementary by playing soccer, I prove them wrong in basketball, and I defiantly proved them wrong in football. With that, got my nails, and hair done and went shopping for a new pair of heels. Now I am told that I cant do lighting and sound because I am a girl. I’m ready to prove them wrong again.
Saw them live just

That's it?! Nooo, I wanted more Tegan and Sara. Well, anyways I loved the interview either way. Lol. "You're disgusting". Those comments they make to each other, are just the tip of the iceberg. I think I'm a little too obsessed with them.
Seriously though, I can't believe Tegan, is single. That's crazy.
yum..
i wanna be that green apple lolly pop tegan keeps playing with.. lol ;]
awesome
They are so funny haha i love the way tegan just sits there :]

when another concert in spain?...
OMG they are soooo sisters
OMG they are soooo sisters and it is sooo evident they are close. "You touched me!" I have their "So Jealous" album and they have a video for the DVD-ROM and it's amazing at how much they communicate and vent their feelings. They are very different and have been going through so much from people thinking they are the same person---or like a copy of one another.
They know how to fight and express to one another. Very passionate and opinionated, too--are they scorpios by chance?

me neither
i've not been a huge follower either. but after that you're disgusting comment... i think i'm going to work on becoming hideously infatuated.
i loved their 'love type thing'in TLW. it lent so much to the scene, as most of the music does in the show. i really do think a music supervisor can prove to be an artist, too.
ohahh..edited:)
ohh i didn't know they showed up on tlw
even though i watched that scene with a laugh before
i just watched that ep again to see them after your words
sometimes i lost my wallet carelessly
but i think i knew why you were getting stuck on them
their upcoming show with dancing queen dana would be so much better
muhaa~~~
Excellent points...
About where women are lacking in the music industry. LOL, when one of them turns to the other and says, "You're disgusting." Sorry, I'm not a fan, so I don't know which is which.
Also, age 27 is NOT old. They are just getting started.
"you're disgusting."
haha, I can not believe Tegan is single. She is just so cute!
I thought she wasn't...
Don't they both have girlfriends?
in their dvd tegan says " we
in their dvd tegan says " we both have girlfriends " so i guess she's not single anymore.
" that's hot " - Tinkerbell
The DVD
Yeah that line threw me off too when I saw it later, which made me rethink my first post which was based on this line in the afterellen interview they had:
"Tegan, single for a year and a half now, endured the breakup of her five-year relationship"
also later, I think Sara in one of their stage banters announces that "Tegan has been single for one and a half years".
anyway, I don't wanna sound like i'm obsessing about Tegan's status (not too much anyway), but my take is that Tegan's single, because it streamlines with what *I* want. Tegan. *grins*
I agree
It's not a shortage of female musicians in the world, it's a shortage of female techies, producers, agents, etc. More and more are filling the gaps though but it's hard when you have to fight the tradition that men have set by being the usual people for the job.

Absolutely Right!
My story: I started in January at a little IT company - only male employees there. The company is growing like hell, but was just searching always for male employees. I couldn't believe it! As I had to revisit and write new job offers I extended them and because of that had also some discussions (no the last ones) with the executives. They're simply scared of female employees! "It can make trouble, when a male employee has problems with that." OMG! That's not the fault of the women! Well, after six month there were at least first responses by women, so hopefully I will see soon the first female employee, or I will leave the company next year. It's really tough to fight against discriminations and IT is so unbelievable "traditional"...
Totally
I gotta give props to the Wiltern and not just cuz I work there...it's one of the few venues in town that has a female General Manager (who is actually leaving in a week to run the Inglewood Forum--huge leap forward for her as well as women in the industry), a female house manager and several women who work backstage in production and who hold their own with the boys. Oh and not to mention yours truly! And more and more I'm finding that the women who come through on these tours are not just merch girls anymore (nothing wrong with being a merch girl by the way) but tour managers, production managers, etc...
dreamy job
god i love the wiltern. it's right there under my #2 (skyline chili) on the list of things i love.
can i ask what you do there, cynthia? i'd love to hear how you got into the wiltern and where you'd ultimately like to be heading. i've been thinking about going to a music production school, not berklee or anything. just one of those you find in the back of a magazine. 'cus i'm legit like that.
Whoa!!!
HELLSSS YEAHHHHH!!!!!!
SAY SOMETHING TEGAN!!!!!!
