I REALLY LOVE THE SHOW. IT MAKES ME SO PROUD TO A LESBIAN AND TO HAVE A SHOW ABOUT US. I LOVE THE L WORD! YOU ROCK!
I saw the ladies in action
My girlfriend and I walked into a North Vancouver coffee shop yesterday and who is sitting around the table?? Just the entire creative writing team of the L Word!! Yes, Ilene and the gang (I recognized Angela Robinson, Rose Lam, and the faces of the other ladies) were sitting there with all their paperwork discussing the upcoming week.
While I waited for my bagel to toast, I had to listen in. It was very cool. I didn't get any big spoilers but I loved being a fly on the wall!
Unfortunately, they didn't really notice me or my girlfriend. I was hoping they would say "Ladies! Stop! You would be perfect for our upcoming sex scene with Shane!"
One can still dream.... ;)
All I can say is Gosh!
How did you manage to restrain yourselves from going all gushy 'a la' Kathie Bates/James Caan in 'Misery'??? and leaping on Ilene proclaiming fanhood amidst such genius's? I would love to meet the creative team if only to ask...Daniella Sea - WHY???, What were you thinking? Were you out of your minds? Otherwise, bravo for choosing such fine actors and writing such a sterling piece of work! But alas for poor Daniella - 'big mistake...huge!' as the divine Julia Roberts aka pretty woman would say. (Although I did read that one of Ms Sea's friends is on the production team which taking her total lack of acting skills into account goes to show that even the wonderful Ilene is not beyond corruptability.) If I have offended the 'Little Prince's' fan (goes by the name 'Bitch')then - too bad.

I just read that the bonus features are for the DVD over at the Showtime site. Another year of CRAP, STUPID bonus junk.
We do not want TWO episodes of the TUTORS. That has nothing to do with TLW. I don't care about the L-ements of style, saw that promo all damn year.
Get real... Where are the bloopers, interviews that have not been seen with the cast, behind the scenes of S4 video, cast members interviewing each other, deleted scenes? Come on, it isn't that hard to put something interesting together. Why all garbage year after year.
Guess I won't be buying the box set again this year!!!!
A really disappointed, disappointed viewer.

The The L Word is getting
The The L Word is getting some new blood. According to Variety, Malaya Rivera Drew will be joining the Showtime series.
Drew will play the assistant to Mia Kirshner's Jenny Schecter character. The cable series revolves around the lives and loves of a small, close-knit group of lesbians living in Los Angeles as well as the friends and family members that either support or loathe them.
The series has enjoyed four very successful seasons. The fifth season is currently shooting in and around Los Angeles.
More characters again?
Here they go again. It's hard to keep track of the cast, let alone the new ones. Oh well, that's the way it is. I thought Season1 had so many fun things in it, and a great core cast. Jenny's movie, Les Girls, is going to tell the story of all of her lesbian friends. I guess there will be a story in a story. I'd rather see the real girls and not someone else playing them. Here Kit had a great thing going with the Planet and now it's probably going to foul her up to have competition. Can't anybody ever be just successful and happy?

i'm sure you'll get used to it in no time ;-) the core characters do need some diversions and i'm all for further intricacies of story arcs! bring 'em on, Ilene!

Wicked, Wicked Games's Kate
Wicked, Wicked Games's Kate French is becoming a lesbian. According to Variety, the actress has just nabbed a reoccurring role on the Showtime series The L Word.
French will be starring as the owner of a rival club looking to steal business away from the Planet. The lesbian-themed drama follows the lives and loves of a small, close-knit group of friends living in Los Angeles as well as the friends and family members that either support or loathe them.
French is to begin her stint on the show in time for the series' new fall season.

I have no clue who's on the list of stars joining the cast this year.
I have a habit of sitting back and let the show come to me, then after it's on I put it through my investigation lab. If I get too much information of the new season, prior to the new season, I start forming an enactment in my mind and I could end up being disappointed if the show fails to meet my expectations of my own interpretational enactment.

You sure know how to f!@k with the TiBetters don't you hanging a pic of Bette and Jodie on the wall behind you .Boy you are good and then saying something about Bette and Tina's house .You got to love there faith Ilene they do stick by your show only thing is they have no ideal just how much you and the writers are going to screw them over again in S5,o well I tried to tell them Ilene but they just will not believe me but they will SEE.

who said that the picture at the back of ilene was of jennifer and laurel? im pretty sure jennifer is with marlee matlin..it looks like it was taken on the location of the last scene for ep 12.. jennifer is wearing that thing where she gave the "17 reasons why" sign.. and laurel has blonde hair not red....

sandpaper....... bette & jodie
I really think the Bette & Jodie relationship is just sandpaper to file off some of Bette's rough edges to mold her into her and Tina's love for each other. I just hope that when they do get back together, Ilene gives us a chance to see the changes in Bette and Tina and how those changes has helped in their new relationship. And trust me, the fans will know it, love it, and feel it.
