Mischa gets T.A.T.u.'ed

Remember the faux-lesbian Russian pop duo t.A.T.u.? At the height of their career, which consisted of two singles in the U.S.— "All The Things She Said" and "Not Gonna Get Us"—they performed at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards with hordes of girls who stripped down to nothing but tank tops and boy shorts. It was later discovered that the redhead had a boyfriend, and after the scandal died down, they were completely forgotten in America—until now.
In what must have started as a joke, a film is being made about two t.A.T.u. fans (played by Mischa Barton and Shantel VanSanten) who meet a concert and fall in love. According to IMDB, the girls are then "swept into a dangerous world of obsession, drug abuse and murder."
It’s probably rough for Mischa to shake her O.C. persona, but despite her foray into bisexuality on the series, it's still hard to imagine her convincing us as a Russian lesbian. Finding t.A.T.u. kind of sounds like the worst idea for a movie ever, but it may be so bad that we’ll all have to see it—or at least wait for the DVD.
In the meantime, here's a preview:

Hmm....
I've heard about this movie about two years ago and didn't expect it to come out. But anyways I have no doubt that it will catch everybody's attention,cos these two Russian girls(more likely their US producers) know for sure how to create a sensation.And of course Misha will do her work best and there will appear another portion of Tatu's fans around the world. But they're not teenage girls anymore...not even in love,huh. But who cares?

I heard about this movie
I heard about this movie ages ago and thought it was crazy, and that video looks like something a crazy fan knocked up rather than any kind of proper movie promo. I think it is the oddest movie I have heard of, certainly to have a high profile celeb such as Barton in it, but I will see, if just to see Mischa doing what she does best, playing girls who love girls. Ahh, if only Once and Again had not ended, Mischa and Evan make such a cute couple!!

Ok.. first, I must say that I luuuv t.A.T.u. really? Who cares if they're lesbians or not, they had this great (and sometimes bottering) voices, powerfull lyrics and all that gay stuff probably was just a publicitary fact, second, I would love to see Mischa in that roll because I do expected her to turn out gay after that "Lost & Delirious" movie, and for those who say it's a low budget thing, so what? There are too many low budget great movies out there, I think it's quite an interesting project, even if it sounds exactly like Kate Winslet's "Heavenly creatures", and by the way, it's based on a book

Wait, where was a scandal in US when people found out Lena had a boyfriend? In Russia, it's been common knowledge all the way. Julia had her first kid (from her bf), like, 5 years ago. In fact, it's been a trend for Russian pop-singers to make out with girls on-stage and with guys off-stage for the last 8-9 years, Tatu were hardly anything new.

i loved tATu. Their music helped me so much even though i wasnt out yet. then i was so heartbroken when i found out they like boys! i wanted to cry but regardless this movie will probably bomb

HAHA, let's get realistic, will the movie ever make it as a hit?! -Probably not. But what comes to the T.A.T.u girls, I personally didnt think their music sucked, only the advertising sucked really hard.
But who knows, maybe Mischa can do a miracle and make that movie succeed. Its a big MAYBE.

o.k so i'm not going to lie, but i like the music from t.A.T.u, even in russian it has a cool beat to it. I did here about the movie many months ago and i heard an interview the girls gave about it, and how it was going to be a really great movie and that they were making sure they knew what was happening with the movie and that they became good friends with the director... back then i thought it was a lame title and background story and thought it wasn't going to actually make trough the first scene shot...but to my surprise it did...and i still think of it as lame!!!! but i'll just wait untill the DVD comes out and see the results.
