The Much-Awaited, Clamored-After, Long Overdue, (not) Overhyped, Highly Intimate and Responsive OurChart Exclusive L Word Insider Podcast Series IS HERE!
We're in the final days of filming Season 5--on location in Los Angeles in fact. It's hard to believe we're still rolling when we're just two months away from the premiere! Despite the non-stop schedule everyone was in fantastic spirits when we showed up with our cameras and your questions. In fact, I think everyone had a little too much fun responding to your queries. More than a few times I had an anxious AD (Assistant Director) hovering in the production office, trying to corral our podcast participants back to set. To make matters worse, we not only stole the usual suspects away, but some of the new Season 5 talent as well--to be our interviewers. We thought our podcast series would be a great way to introduce you to these new Season 5 faces and bring them up to speed on the behind-the-scenes gossip at the same time. (There's probably some significance to the pairings too, but you might have to wait for Season 5 to get the full story...unless someone slips up.)
Okay, sean_bicon, you asked for it. To all the cast--what were your first impressions of one another?
Kate's up first, dishing to Clementine Ford who plays Molly Kroll, Phyllis Kroll's daughter. (We met Molly briefly last season...but for some reason, she decided to spend a little more time with us this year.) Who did Kate think was the quiet one? The stylish one? Who intimidated her? And if you ever thought the part of Shane was created for Kate, you might be right--but she did have to beat someone out for the part first and you'll never guess who.

Are Shane and Molly gonna hook up on the show is that just for the interview to pull us in lol. In any event that was great. It is always nice to see the girls out of character like that and we see how much they vibe with each other. There's no "I'm a better actress than you" kinda thing going on and I love it. I look forward to Leisha's segment.

Ah I love the way Kate talks, and moves around her hands. hah.
I think the way Kate described everyone is how it would probably truly be like to meet all of them. They really do seem that way in person, which showcases really how good of actresses they all are.
Can't wait till the next one, but I'm hoping the audio is a little better next time.

It is so depressing to know that just days ago some of us were fortunate to sit right before Kate and leisha but a blessing to know that we have these podcasts to tide us over until the next time there is an event. Kate rocks my socks =)
