I have no problem signing the petition to keep the L word on the air but maybe the women are tired after six years or have made other plans. This is what the fans have to find out. If the stars want another season then, definitely sign every petition and drowned Showtime with them. But lets get to the truth. Maybe Ilene Chaukin can help with the answers.

Eilleen you've really outdone yourself in this episode. i have to say out of every episode ive ever seen, this by far was the best and so meaningful. i went through a really bad break up a few years ago during the summer and i was so touched and couldnt help but relate and feel everything and loved how the heat connected everyone together. It was so amaazing and absolutely beautiful the way you portrayed the dark and what it represented. the heat and the dark couldnt have been set any better. thankyou for such an amazing episode.

I'm straight and I would die if they stop this show .. TLW is the only TV Series that got me engaged season after season and so far, I did not miss one single episode.

This show thought me a lot about gay people. 1st of all I learnt that everyone (deep down inside) is the same, thus everyone has the right to be treated equally and respected. TLW is just an amazing show and I think the whole world has something to learn from LGBT communities.

ELEVATOR GOING UP AND DOWN.....
The elevator gives us the picture of how their relationship has been thru the 5 seasons. I dont agree with how they get back together thru an affair. It is like magnet and steel. When they are within 10 feet or 5 or looking across the room at one another, they feel the love force pulling them together. I'm sure they are both afraid of loosing the other one again, and I dont think us fans can go thru another break up of these two. Come on Ilene. Let us see Tibette happy and a family with a love that nobody can come between. Let them be Alice, Shane, and Kit's rock. The one relationship that has weathered the storms. Just like a lighthouse. No matter what comes up, it will stand the rageing storms and send out a light for all to see and take refuge.

Is there there some speculation that the LWord will not reach the 6th season? I hope not! The Lword has reached the sky but still has yet to reach the stars. There are more stories to tell, characters that have have departed need to revisit and perhaps get closure.

Need to see where each characters life's journey takes them- perhaps Jodie crossing a threshold. It's brilliant to have her character as a challenge to Bette.
The fun and brilliance in writing is keeping these characters and stories alive. Hmm, maybe we may even see them age and continue on for many years like "Gays of our Lives".

I would cancel SHOWTIME if they discontinued the Lword.

I too, will be very disappointed if HBO decided not to bring back The L Word. I'm am straight but the show is NEEDED on TV because it taught me soo much things I didn't know. The L Word is the best show I've ever watched in a long time where everything seem so real. It's the best series ever. There's no such show that is like the L Word these days. This show is the closest show I watch faithfully and get so into the plots like it's a real damn reality show lol. No seriously, this show deserves to stay. The show talks about issues that no other shows would care to talk about. All the cast are just phenomenal! It would be so wrong to plug a show that touched a lot of people's heart.. more than we could imagine. If you cut the show off its like having no icing on a cake or having no ice in a lemonade on a very hot day.... come on now.. keep the show let SEASON 5 continue and let's see SEASON 6 keep on coming.

I am such a hopeless romantic, absolutely in favor of happy endings AND despite the way Bette and Tina reconnected, I am 100% emphatic about the possibility of their reunion. While I absolutely love the confidence, spunk, and refreshing honesty of Jodi's character...in the words of Bette "it just doesn't compare." I believe that people enter our lives for a season and a very distinct reason. That said, I beleive that Jodi placed the mirror in front of Bette and forced Bette to realize that she had flaws (something that Bette just wasn't ready to hear from Tina). Jodi's presence in Bette's life made Bette painfully aware that she was no prize in relationships and as a result, shaped a more compassionate less judgmental Bette.

Don't get me wrong, the affair between Tina and Bette is wrong but I wonder....wasn't it almost inevitable that something would happen? For instance the two women have a strong connection, great history and undeniable passion for one another; the relationship ended without true closure; and now they are "friends" without ever having addressed all of the above. True Bette is in a relationship and its a no brainer that Tina is off limits but c'mon when it comes to matters of the heart everyone knows that its never black and white...what's perceived as wrong is almost always justified to be right...simply for the sake of stealing just one more moment.

Perhaps they should have limited the "friendship" to just raising Angie (i.e., no relationship advice, no hanging out)..perhaps then they could have resisted the inevitable. Peraps then they wouldn't have been tormented by the pain of watching the other date and romance others, all the while falling in love all over again. I am not at all insisting that its impossible to be friends with an ex , however, I think Bette and Tina were not honest with themselves and didn't set personal boundaries from the moment they decided to be "friends". We know that both of them still had strong feelings for the other which surprises me that they thought would somehow magically disappear. I think its the weak attempt of them supressing of what they felt for one another that led them to this point...and here we are....

So I ask what esle could they have done? Did Bette learn her lesson from season 1? I think in some respects she did because she decided to end it BEFORE she got caught. Additionally, she suggested counseling to help deal with this complicated love triangle. In an ideal world Bette would have just said no [to Tina]... but unfortunately since she was unable to I see her trying hard to right her wrong...something I don't think the Bette from season 1 was willing to do until AFTER she lost Tina....
