Thread moving again ,this is the LAST season of our girl Tina,so lets post and post to show how much we thank Laurel for playing Tina and show her the love.
OK you can only pick one thing about how Laurel played Tina that you liked (Yes I know you like every thing but lets just pick one )
For me how Laurel played Tina just with her eyes ,she can just say so much with out saying anything at all with her eyes.I will always remember how Laurel played Tina with her eyes.
What I loved most about Lu playing Tina Kennard...
is her quiet, soulful nature which made me think that's why she loved Bette so deeply and openly. It made me wonder if that was why she took it so hard when she found out that Bette had cheated and why it took her quite some time to get past that and made the choices that she made as a result of the pain from that betrayal. I sometimes think about how much of an adjustment she had to make and what she chose to give up because she fell in love with Bette.

Dreading missing Laurel...
I'm usually just a lurker, but the spinoff announcement pulled me out....
What I find most depressing about the end of The L Word is that any show that our girl most likely moves onto is a step down in a way.
Being able to watch her interact with women, "make love" to women, etc...
I love Sarah Shahi, but watching her on "Life" is no comparison to watching her making out with Shane!
I know, I'm just depressed at facing the end of seeing Luh somewhat regularly and the end of Tibette.....

thanks for coming out of lurkdom. You in great company here wtih fans of LuH. I can't even begin to think about the end of season 6. I am going to miss her so much. I am just hoping that she will do well and we'll get to see her in other shows or movies. Someday I hope they do an L Word movie.

Leisha! It would have been great to have a TiBette spinoff, but, I don't think Jennifer Beals wanted to continue with a weekly series. For all I know, Laurel Holloman may not have wanted to continue with a weekly series. Personally, I think Laurel would be great in a series. Maybe they will do a TLW movie in a couple of years. Yes, I am sad. :(

This is the second time I have read this and each time it just depresses me more. Don't get me wrong I love Leisha and the charcahter of Alice but, well as a tibetter it was always going to be disappointing if it wasn't Luh or JB x

It wouldn't of been a Tina spin-off. For some reason I get the feeling that Tina is a after-thought for IC and I don't think she would spend the time to create a series for Tina alone.
I was pretty positive it was going to be one of the three JB,KM, and or LH, and my money would of been on JB only because IC seems to cater to anything JB or Bette. I won't be watching, I like Alice but not as a stand alone character, in the group yes, but really The L word without the core cast and especially Tina has no interest for me.

that her after-thought character is the one that most people like? You would have thought that she could take a hint. She totally didn't expect the character 'Tina' to get the following that she does or that the relationship with Bette and Tina would develop in to what it has.
Bette and Tina made the series.....and I am afraid it will be
very different without them something I do not think I am interested in. Perhaps it is for the younger audience. For sure though I am sure that there will be movies on occassion if the L word can sustain. I am sure to that Tibette will go off into the sunset together and we we will see them occassionally....ONe can only hope right !!!!oh I am really heart broken....SIGH !!

Maybe Tina and Bette will drop by to visit Alice once in a while ... I imagine some guest appearances by LW cast members will be sprinkled in there, to entice the audience to give it a chance.

I think even if the news is directly about OC, for instance, it's sudden demise, Variety or some other news outlet will scoop them again. Lol.

I should have made a bet on InTrade or something, LOL! To me, Alice/LeH has always been the most natural fit for a spinoff.

but only because I had read she wanted to spend more time with her band. From KM's interviews, it seemed like she was getting pretty tired. Anyway, I wish Leisha well. I don't know where this will take her. It would be nice if we saw occasional appearances of the cast.

This news is bittersweet. I guess next season will be the last I will ever see of Tina Kennard and Tibette. I will miss them and Lu's character more than I can say. It's been a 5-year long (going on 6) love affair for me and Tibette. Well, what can I say? I just hope IC is going to do justice to them and let them be happy finally! I'd rather see Alice do the spin-off than have just JB do one without Lu if it can't be a Tibette spin-ff, but that's just me. LOL. Like the rest of you guys, I am eagerly anticipating Lu's next project which I will support, of course. The question is..how soon can I see Lu do another show or movie after L? Here's to an outstanding Sixth Season for our Lu. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was afraid it might be JB. Then what would happen to Tibette. I am so hoping that we will get a season 6 that has Tibette in a good place.
